About Me

My name is John Sanchez. I grew up in Mountain View California. My first and true love has always been music. I played music in grade school and high school. I ended up attending Berklee College of Music in Boston majoring in Music Business/Management and Film Scoring.

After Berklee, I started a internship at a music entertainment company in SF. I ended up there for 8 years. I worked with such artists such as Aerosmith, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Sting, Michael Bolton and Bush. I also got to work with, and meet, artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Maroon5, matchbox twenty/Rob Thomas, Maxwell, Dave Koz, Kenny Loggins and my favorite, Sara Bareilles. I also ran and coordinated events with VH1 Save the Music, MTV's TRL, Ritmo Latino and more. I also had the chance to travel to such places as Hawaii, Florida and Southern California.

About My Photography

I began my photography with a regular 35mm Canon Rebel camera taking pictures of my nephew as he began growing up in 1994. I took my first photography class one summer, for the fun of it, in the Fall of 1998 at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA. I learned traditional B&W developing, processing and printing.

I started my photography career taking mostly landscapes and flowers. In 2004, I began shooting small weddings. In 2005, I began free work with upcoming models. Fortunately, I got to meet some great people who not only help me mature as a photographer, but also became great friends as well.

Currently, I shoot casual portraits, children, event photography, charity events, and pets.
